1. Registration papers for registered animals MUST be provided at entry or prior to check-in or the animal will be considered a commercial animal.
2. Junior livestock exhibitors must be 5 years old by the opening day of the fair and a bona fide   4-H or FFA member.  Junior livestock exhibitors can show until the end of year that they turn 19.

4. Entries made after July 15 will be subject to a $5 late charge and will qualify for OPEN SHOW ONLY and will not be Junior Livestock Premium Sale Eligible.

5. Entry fees MUST be paid upon entry. Fees are as follows:

 $20 per Head per entry for Cattle

 $10 per head per entry for Swine, Sheep, and Goats  

 $5 per pen on Poultry including Poultry Chain

 $2 per head per entry on Rabbits and open Poultry

6. Juniors that wish to show in both the Open Show and the Junior Show must pay an entry fee for each.

7. Farm visits maybe conducted at the discretion of FFA and 4H Advisors

8. Livestock exhibitors are limited to 2 entries per class.

9. Additional classes will be added at superintendents’ discretion.

10. All breeding animals must be registered and entered in the name of the owner, and must have been owned by the exhibitor by July 1 of the current year and be able to show proof of ownership or transfer of ownership.

11. All animals and poultry will be inspected before fair opens by officials of the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission. Health papers for cattle and swine will be checked and animals without proper health papers will be rejected and NOT be permitted to show.

12. The Exhibitors are responsible for: furnishing water containers, feed, and care; providing stall bedding; and cleaning and disposing of waste at designated places outside of barn.

13. All cattle must be halter broken. This rule will be observed closely by the judge’s decision in making awards. All bulls 12 months and older must have nose rings.

15. All sheep and goats MUST have a Scrapie tag for identification UNLESS it is a registered animal with a permanent tattoo.

16. Bred and Owned Requirements:

· Registered animals only

· Must be bred and owned by the junior exhibitor

· Entry must be shown in solo class and under 2 years of age

· Proof of registration must be provided on entry form

· Junior show only

FITTING/GROOMING AND ANIMAL CARE: 

Searcy County Fair is a no fit Show. The junior exhibitor may wash, below dry and apply a coat shine only

ARKANSAS HORSES

1. Negative EIA test within the past twelve (12) months for all animals over six (6) months of age. Nursing foals under six (6) months of age are exempt from testing if accompanied by negative tested dams. Photocopies of the test papers will not be accepted, carbon copies are acceptable.
