CARE & CUSTODY LIVESTOCK, POULTRY & RABBITS

1.Junior livestock entries is to be performed by the exhibitor whose name appears on the entry.

2.The exhibitor must be present and must participate at all times during grooming and care  when assistance is being provided, except such times as the exhibitor may be exhibiting livestock in another class, getting themself dressed/ready for a show.

3.Animals are to be washed, dried, and clipped only. Adhesives, glue, hair, hair spray, paint, etc. or anything that alters the natural appearance of the Animal may NOT be used

4.Each exhibitor is responsible for the care, showing and selling of his or her own animals until released from the fairgrounds.

5.If livestock are not properly cared for, water and feed requirements, and other necessary items will be supplied, with all costs thereof charged against such exhibitor and all ribbons and Ribbon Money “Fair Checks”  earned by such exhibitor will be withheld under such circumstances to apply toward any expenses incurred.

6.All owners of property or livestock, or other persons in charge of property or livestock shall care for, guard, protect, and preserve property or livestock, so as not to cause injury or damage to any member of the general public, any other exhibitor, or any Searcy County Fair, Inc management.

7.Searcy County Fair shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to any property of  owners or exhibitors

8.The Searcy County Fair Inc and its insurance carriers are not liable or responsible for and expressly disclaim any liability or responsibility for the acts, failure to act, misconduct, or negligence of any third party relative thereto.

9.The official Searcy County Fair or their personnel veterinarian may be requested by exhibitors at any point during the fair. Exhibitors should contact Livestock for any requests. Exhibitor will be responsible for all charges associated with the request.

10.All stalls, pens, and aisles must be kept in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion and all trash disposed of as directed by the Superintendent.

11.Disqualifying Behavior: For Youth or Parent

Not Feeding and watering animals

Animal Cruelty

Leaving Animals in a dirty environment

Parents doing 100% of the care taking

Poor Sportsmanship

 12.Cheating:

       Altering the appearance of an animal,

       Not following the rules established by the Searcy County Fair

       Livestock and Poultry Committee.

        Using performance enhancing drugs such a certain diuretics,

        tranquilizers, anti- inflammatory  agents, and feed additives.)

       Fraudulent misrepresentation of the animal

       Examples include false ownership,   falsified birth dates and

        ownership dates, and surgical manipulation of the animal.

       Pumping an animal  (administering fluids/air into the animal

        stomach to make it look filled out or increasing weight)

 13.Removing an Animal from the Stall or pen during School Day (Friday) 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

14. Not fulfilling the requirements for 4H (six meetings/activities) or FFA
