SWINE
1. As of July 1,2001, all swine must have an official premise identification.  This is 840 tags or NUES tags
2. The Exhibitors are responsible for: furnishing water containers, feed, and care; providing stall bedding; and cleaning and disposing of waste at designated places outside of barn
3. Animals six (6) months old or older to be tested negative for brucellosis within ninety (90) days of exhibition or originate directly out of a Validated Herd, with Validation number and date of last Herd test shown on certificate (barrows exempt from brucellosis testing, but must be pseudo rabies tested.)
4. Animals to be tested negative for pseudo rabies regardless of age within ninety (90) days of the exhibition on a test approved by the state veterinarian or originate directly out of a Qualified Pseudo rabies Free Herd, with Qualified Herd number and date of last test shown on certificate.
5. Free of other contagious, infectious, and communicable diseases (erysipelas, atrophic rhinitis, etc.): otherwise, they will not be allowed to show and will be released from fairgrounds.

DEPARTMENT 3000 – SWINE                                                         
1. All boars must be registered.
2. Fee $10.00 per entry
3. Junior is a 4H/FFA Member; Open is all other exhibitors
4. Feeder Pigs may be barrows or gilts or any combination.
5. Market hogs may be barrows or gilts but gilts cannot show in the breeding stock class.
6. Exhibitors will be limited to 2 entries per class.
7. Points will be awarded in each class as follows:
1st place- 20 Points
2nd place- 18 Points
3rd place- 16 points

Yorkshire, Hampshire, Duroc, Poland China, Berkshire, Chester White, Other REGISTERED CLASSES:
301 Junior Spring Sow, born after March 15, current year
302 Senior Spring Sow, born between Feb 1 – March 14, current year
303 Junior Yearling Sow, born between Aug 1 of previous year – Jan 31, current year
304 Aged Sow, born before July 31, one year Prior
MARKET CLASSES:*Classes determined by weight.
305 Market Hogs—Feeder Pigs, 144 lbs and under
306 Market Hogs—Barrows and gilts may show, 145 lbs weight minimum
GROUP CLASSES:*All animals must be owned by one exhibitor and shown is appropriate individual classes to qualify.
307  Group Feeder Pigs, must have 3 pigs in same weight range       
A. 44 lbs and under       
B. 45-90 bs
