MEAT GOATS

1. All male animals must be registered. No bucks born beforeJanuary 1, 2019.

2. Purebred goats must be registered.

3. Does shown in a breeding class may not be shown in a market class.

4. Exhibitors will be limited to 2 entries per class.

5. Points will be awarded in each class as follows: 1st place- 20, 2nd place- 18, 3 place- 16.

REGISTERED CLASSES:

501  Late Doe Kid, age 0-6 months

502  Early Doe Kid, age 6-12 months

503  Junior Doe Yearling, age 12-16 months

504  Senior Doe Yearling, age 16-24 months

505  Junior Aged Doe, age 2-3 years

506  Senior Aged Doe, age 4 years and older

507  Late Buck Kid, age 0-6 months

508  Early Buck Kid, age 6-12 months

509  Bred and Owned, must be bred and owned by the junior exhibitor. Entry must be shown in above class and under two years of age. Proof of registration must be provided on entry form. Junior show only.

MARKET CLASSES

Both does and wethers will be allowed to show. Does shown in a breeding class may not be shown in a market class.

All goats must have baby teeth.

Any meat breed or meat-cross may be shown. No registration papers are needed.

Goats may be horned, but the horns must be tipped for safety.

Minimum weight is 40 pounds, no maximum.

All animals must be checked in, weighed, and baby teeth verified by the goat superintendent.

Classes will be determined after the total number of entries is known and will be based on the weight of the goat.
