DEPARTMENT 5000 1. All male animals must be registered. No bucks born before previous year 2. Fee is $10 Goats Per entry. 3. Junior is a 4H/FFA Member; Open is all other exhibitors 4. Purebred goats must be registered in the youth’s name by July 1 of the current Year 5. Does shown in a breeding class may not be shown in a market class. 6. Exhibitors will be limited to 2 entries per class. 7. Points will be awarded in each class as follows: 8. Points as follows 1st place- 20 Points, 2ndplace- 18 Points , 3rd place- 16 Points . 9. All goats MUST have a Scrapie tag for identification UNLESS it is a registered animal with a permanent tattoo 11. The Exhibitors are responsible for: furnishing water containers, feed, and care; providing stall bedding; and cleaning and disposing of waste at designated places outside of barn Breeds: Boer, Pygmy, Other Purebred, Commercial REGISTERED CLASSES: 501 Late Doe Kid, age 0-6 months 502 Early Doe Kid, age 6-12 months 503 Junior Doe Yearling, age 12-16 months 504 Senior Doe Yearling, age 16-24 months 505 Junior Aged Doe, age 2-3 years 506 Senior Aged Doe, age 4 years and older 507 Late Buck Kid, age 0-6 months 508 Early Buck Kid, age 6-12 months 509 Bred and Owned, must be bred and owned by the junior exhibitor. Entry must be shown in above class and under two years of age. Proof of registration must be provided on entry form. Junior show only. MARKET CLASSES Both does and wethers will be allowed to show. Does shown in a breeding class may not be shown in a market class. All goats must have baby teeth. Any meat breed or meat-cross may be shown. No registration papers are needed. Goats may be horned, but the horns must be tipped for safety. Minimum weight is 40 pounds, no maximum. All animals must be checked in, weighed, and baby teeth verified by the goat superintendent.
