The Searcy County Fair was established in fall 1909. Research suggests the original fair location was actually in Leslie and later moved to maybe to the present day National Guard Amory site and then in the 60’s the Fairgrounds was placed at the present day site. The Searcy County Fair could very well be the oldest existing establishment in Searcy County.
The fair occurs for about 6 days out of the year, but the planning, scheduling and over site is a yearlong process. The all-volunteer Crew give their time, energy and money to the betterment of the Searcy County Fair to make the event the best possible experience for the Youth of Searcy County.
The Searcy County Fair, INC receives donation, coordinates fundraiser and receives limited State Funding for the general maintenance and up keep of the Fairground, buildings, barn and keeps the utilities on. The Searcy County Fair Receives no funding from Searcy county or the city of Marshall. When you make a donations to the Searcy County Fair you are preserving a Historical Icon in Searcy County and supporting our Youth.
